About
D. Mañero-Lozano is a full time Professor in the Department of Spanish Philology, Universidad de Jaén (Spain). He is graduated in Spanish Philology (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain) and has a Ph.D in Spanish Philology (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain).
His research interests include 16th– and 17th–century Spanish literature. He is the author of critical essays in journals such as Bulletin Hispanique, Criticón, Revista de Filología Española, Revista de literatura, etc.
He has dedicated much of his time editing texts from the Spanish Golden Age, like his edition of Segunda parte de la vida del pícaro Guzmán de Alfarache (Madrid: Cátedra, 2007) and La pícara Justina by ‘F. López de Úbeda’ (Madrid: Cátedra, in press).
He has got financial support from different public institutions to do research in several foreign universities, such as the Universities of Torino (Italy), Pisa (Italy), Rome “La Sapienza” (Italy), Manchester (United Kingdom), UNAM (Mexico), UC Berkeley (USA) and the CCHS of CSIC (Madrid).
Since 2010, he is a member of the project «Classical Spanish Theatrical Patrimony. Texts and Research Instruments (TECE-TEI)» (Programa Consolider-Ingenio 2010: CSD2009-00033), whose main researcher is Prof. Joan Oleza.
